Obtuse Angle — Greater Than 90°, Less Than 180°
An obtuse angle measures more than 90° and less than 180° — wider than a square corner, but not yet a straight line.

Range: 90° < obtuse < 180° (π/2 < rad < π).
Examples: 100°, 110°, 120°, 135°, 150°.
Think of an opening door past 90°, a reclined chair, or the obtuse corners of a wide rhombus.
Preset tip: try 120° or 135° chips on the tool.
How to measure
- Center on the vertex, baseline on one edge.
- Drag the second ray until the reading is between 90° and 180° — label will read Obtuse.
- If you see 60° but expected 120°, you’re reading the reflex side — turn off “Measure reflex” or check the secondary chip (360°−reading).
